POEMA: Love's Philosophy, SHELLEY - Traducción

Love's Philosophy  by Percy Bysshe Shelley
(1803-1882)

To my family in Brasil

The fountains mingle with the river,
And the rivers with the ocean;
The winds of heaven mix forever,
With a sweet emotion;
Nothing in the world is single;
All things by a law divine
In one another's being mingle;--
Why not I with thine?

See! the mountains kiss high heaven,
And the waves clasp one another;
No sister flower would be forgiven,
If it disdained it's brother;
And the sunlight clasps the earth,
And the moonbeams kiss the sea;--
What are all these kissings worth,
If thou kiss not me?

TRADUCCIÓN:

A mi familia en Brasil

La filosofía del amor

 Las Fuentes se confunden con el río,
Y los ríos con el océano;
Los vientos del cielo se entremezclan por siempre,
Con una dulce emoción;
Nada en el mundo está desparejado;
Todas las cosas por ley divina
Entre una y otra se van mezclando;--
¿Porqué no yo contigo?

¡Mira! Las montañas besan al alto cielo,
Y las olas se atrapan unas a otras;
Ninguna flor hermana sería perdonada,
Si a su hermano desdeñara;
Y la luz del cielo abraza a la tierra,
Y el rayo de luna besa al mar;--
¿De qué valen todos esos besos,
Si tú no me besas a mí?
